I was raised in Manteca, California, among the almond blossoms and the endless fields of the Central Valley. From a young age, I was captivated by all forms of narrative. I would watch behind-the-scenes features of my favorite films and immerse myself in narrative-driven video games, enthralled by the power of storytelling.
When I moved to Reno, Nevada, in 2022 to pursue higher education, I quickly fell in love with the Silver State’s small but incredibly proud community. I had the opportunity to channel this admiration into my work while attending the University of Nevada, Reno. Before earning my degree from the prestigious Donald W. Reynolds School of Journalism, I spent my time there telling the stories of Northern Nevada. I produced work across multiple media formats, highlighting local restaurant owners, regional politics, and Nevada's unique character.
My work has been featured on KUNR Public Radio (NPR's Northern Nevada station), Our Town Reno (a community-focused Reno outlet), and The Reynolds Sandbox (the Reynolds School’s student publication).
Now that I call Las Vegas home, my deep appreciation for Nevada's powerful community continues to grow. I’m extremely grateful to continue my work here, now sharing the stories of Southern Nevada.
When I’m not creating stories, you can find me cooking, watching films, and getting my miles in on the road.
